Service Description
This workshop is relevant for women who are pre-, peri- or post-menopausal (no upper age limit!). In this workshop we will spend some time on healthy functional breathing patterns and learn specific breathing techniques to calm the mind, improve your focus and concentration and your sleep quality. Functional breathing concerns your everyday breathing. The way you breathe at rest influences the way you breathe during physical exercise and sleep. You will get the chance to practice some functional breathing exercises to ensure you know how to breathe efficiently (light, slow, and deep). To work on your mental and physical resilience, as well as boosting your mood, energy and concentration and contributing to weight loss and better metabolic health, we also include a sauna and cold water immersion session in this workshop. Hot drinks (a variety of teas and barista-style coffees from Marianne's espresso machine!) will also be on offer throughout the workshop. Marianne is a Certified Buteyko Instructor and an Advanced Oxygen Advantage Instructor. Both techniques teach people to breathe more efficiently in their daily lives. She is also a Cold Water Therapy Practitioner, so is trained to introduce people safely to cold water, and a Menopause Wellbeing Practitioner. Following the day, you will have access to an app with the breathing exercises we covered so you can continue to practice these in your daily life.
